Once again equal in my opinion.ĥ) Story was just alot more compelling for me in K2 as it was one of the most in depth stories of an RPG I have ever played to date, it just feels alot more minimal in scale to the war of K1 but it feels as if what your doing will affect the galaxy for ever and thus come the ever so difficult choices. I prefer Manaan over Nar Shadaa and prefer the rest of the K2 planets over Kashyyyk and Tatooine. But then again I prefer Carth to keep me company than Atton but thats just my opinion.Ĥ) For Planets I think that there is alot more depth in K1 than K2, in K2 I think they completely wasted the potential of Dantooine and Korriban after having been in a state of ruin after K1, Korriban the one I was most dissapointed with. In K2 I liked neither Hanharr nor Mira and I didnt like GO-TO either but all the other companions I really liked because of how choices etc affects them, and because alot of them are different from what you first see. Still though, I like both equally.ģ) Companion wise I prefer K1 ever so slightly, there were just some companions in K2 I just didnt like while I felt like I was actually gathering like-minded individuals in K1. Thanks all for the replies, as for myself:ġ) I prefer the Endar Spire over Peragus Mining Facility for the very same reason to Jlingsw as it was just overall more interesting than Peragus and was short and sweet.Ģ) I personally can't decide on this one, for some reason I love Taris - the Davik's Estate I can't stand though - as the atmosphere just feels right for me and such but with Telos I feel alot more character with and I like the endeavours of the TSF and overall how Telos crops back up at the end of the game. So thanks to Kreia and an overall more atypical and cryptic story, I give the win to k2. But in the end it doesn't feel extraodinary, you must go on a quest to locate some maps then defeat Malak the great evil whose unlimted fleets threaten to destroy the republic and conquer the galaxy. The game definitel had some great moments, and I especially enjoyed the tombs in Korriban, nothing ever made me question my choices like kotor 2 did. Don't give me wrong K1 has a great story, and a nice twist for your first playthrough(Pc is Revan). While the cave and the visions were awesome there wasn't much else to Korriban in K2, very short time spent on the sith homeworld.ĥ. Exploration in both is quite limited but kotor 2 felt a bit more lacking especially with the likes of Korriban. Modern technology could do these games a lot moe justice. Both games are a little dissapointing in this regard but I'll give them a pass due to their age. Kreia is a wonderful character, with great dialogue and shows you the grey side of things rather than just everything in black and white.Ĥ. Really overall HK-47 is my favoirte if ds, he's even better in k2 thanks to the tslrcm. Companions-K2 overall just has a better companion system with influcnce and more interesting dialogue.

I mean there is a reason after all why there are mods that skip peragus and Taris, I mean the first time through it's acually really good but it becomes a chore when you want to do multiple playthroughs.ģ. Endar Spire is at least a pretty interesting way to start a game and doesn't drag on like Peragus.Ģ. Running around in my undies fighting lame enemy droids with weak weapons is not my idea of fun. Peragus is just not very enjoyable to me. Until the book and SWTOR ruined KOTOR 2 story :pġ. At least what is recapped before the Ebon Hawk flys off unexpectedly never to be continued.

But with the restored content mod I feel the ending isn't a disapointing as it was without it.

Although my biggest gripes with KOTOR 2 are the npc cloning (can be fixed with a mod though), a bit too much focus on combat and the ending. It basically made KOTOR 1 storyline more expansive and interesting with it digging deeper into the Mandalorian wars which was never really talked about in KOTOR 1. Anyways the game showed you the repricussions of Revan's actions from KOTOR 1 and what happened to the Galaxy after he"saved it" (didn't really save it, kind of made it worse) and left to the outer rim. There really was no war, well there was but it was behind the scenes with the sith hunting the jedi. That being said KOTOR 1 is the more polished game, it's just that KOTOR 2 is more interesting imo as it doesn't follow the generic New Hope Star Wars storyline of a jedi trying to stop a galatic war. 2 is the better written game so I prefer it to 1.
